Tim Rooney is an American businessman and third-generation member of the Rooney family, who own the Pittsburgh Steelers football team. He is the son of late Steelers owner Dan Rooney and the brother of current team president Art Rooney II. Tim Rooney is not involved in the day-to-day operations of the Steelers, but he does hold a minority ownership stake in the team. He has been involved in various business ventures outside of the NFL and is known for his philanthropic efforts in the Pittsburgh community.
